Andy Fischer is a passionate barber, groomer and short hair stylist who takes pride in her craft. She began learning how to cut and style hair at a young age from her mother who owned a salon in Northern California. Growing up in the salon sweeping floors and folding towels, she watched stylists work their magic and always admired what they could do to change another’s appearance so positively in a welcoming environment. What began as a hobby, cutting her friend’s hair in their homes, quickly turned into a passion for cutting and styling short hair.

She completed barber school in New York City in 2015 where she began her career. 3 years later, she found her current home in Philadelphia and continues to grow her business and brands that help people find themselves through their hair journey. Her attention to detail, and ability to help her clients feel comfortable and confident in their style is what fuels her passion. She enjoys recreating classic and timeless hairstyles, while also keeping up with the modern trends and paving the way for unique and fresh looks. Additionally, she has a passion for skin, scalp, and hair health and enjoys educating her clients on the importance of self care. Andy currently owns and operates Born Free Barber located in Philadelphia, PA, and works out of her private studio, Fischer Studios, in Conshohocken, PA.

When she is not behind the chair, she is creating, styling, grooming, and shooting looks to add to her ever growing portfolio. The marriage between 20th Century and Contemporary styles are where she finds the most inspiration and capturing this relationship is what holds her fixation.
